Drain Cleaning Near Me – Why My Sewer Was Blocked

My father has had the same problem with drain cleaning near me on his property for years. I have never asked him what he did to try and get rid of the clogged drains, just that he said he cleaned them on his own many times. It was a Sunday afternoon and he could not wait until Monday morning so he decided to take a few minutes to clean out his sewer lines. As luck would have it, the toilet began to clog up as well.

He quickly grabbed a pair of pliers and began to work on his problem. He was working to remove tree roots that had gotten trapped in the pipes and he needed to make sure the area was clear before he could begin cleaning out the sewer lines. As the clog went on, he asked me to come out and take a look. I did not want to disturb his work so I told him I would check out the pipes themselves.

I went to the exterior of the house and noticed a strange orange glow. I assumed this was coming from the sewer lines. I climbed the ladder and looked at the pipes. There were more than twenty in all and they were all filled to the top with clear and yellowish water.

I immediately called my dad who was at work. He came outside just in time to save the day! I immediately asked him what he did to solve the problem. He admitted that he used a plunger that he had purchased at a home store, along with some household chemicals, to do a drain cleaning that lasted less than five minutes. His solution of using a plunger and some household chemicals for drain cleaning is exactly what I would use if I were having a similar problem with my drains.

In my case, however, the problem was much worse. I had an overflowing sewer in the basement. When I contacted the drain cleaning companies in my area, they told me that they could not clean the sewer because it was clogged. My father was not home when they contacted him so he did not know what to do. My sister called the same company and the representative did tell her that they could not perform any residential drain cleaning due to the fact that the sewer was clogged.

So how could my drainage problems be resolved? I knew that I needed to hire a plumber or plumbing company to repair my drainage system. I did not want to call any residential companies to take care of the plumbing because they did not have the necessary equipment to complete the job. I also did not trust the expertise of some of the drain cleaning near me. I was going to need someone with extensive experience in residential plumbing systems.

When the plumbers arrived, my father provided them with a bucket of food scraps. This helped the men unclog my drain line. Then they placed the bucket inside my toilet and left it there for about an hour. When the men were done, my father took the bucket home and used it to flush out my toilet. This was all that I required from the plumbers.

In my opinion, this is the best way to deal with a clogged drain. The food scraps are probably sufficient, but it is better to have the necessary equipment to deal with a larger blockage than to simply trust your gut instincts and call a drain cleaning company in. Remember to always ask for references and look at their track record before letting them perform work on your kitchen sink, bathtub drain or main sewer line. It may save you a lot of money in the long run.
